So many gorgeous nature photos! Are you shooting with an iphone or a particular digital camera? Any tips for doing adventure photo shoots?

Thanks! I shoot primarily with my Nikon D80 & always in raw. As for tips on getting a good shot I’d simply say play around with it a lot - you’ll quickly discover what works & what doesn’t. This website has some great extra specific tips.

if there is any one quality i appreciate most about myself it is that i find delight in the smallest of things - an afternoon nap, the smell of a paperback book, exchanging a smile with a stranger, cotton candy pink sunsets, etc.

this evening as i walked home from work i was in awe of the fluffy clouds, stopping multiple times to just stare at them, all the while handfuls of people were zooming by leaving them unnoticed. life is better lived slowed down, don’t be in such a rush that you miss the beauty of the present moment. stop, take a deep breath, notice the little things, the precious little gems of life all around us.

This fatty furball brings me so much joy.

CURRENTLY READING: ‘A Short Guide To A Happy Life’ by Anna Quindlen.

Always love small books like this filled with quotes & food for thought sort of things. Will definitely be a quick read at only 60 pages.

BOOK 31/60 OF 2014 READING GOAL - woo over half way!

Outstanding page! Your photos are incredible.

Thanks! Glad you’re enjoying following along :]

Scenes from the hike back down Mailbox Peak - North Bend, Snoqualmie National Forrest, WA.

"Congratulations to all the fellow NW hikers who endured hell for a fucking mailbox"

At the peak of the hike sits a mailbox 5,000ft high which is constantly filled with stuff from fellow hikers (alcohol, snacks, letters, cards, etc). This particular letter fit how I was feeling at that exact moment perfectly.

Choose adventure. Climb mountains. Fill your weekends with new places. Challenge yourself. Conquer fears. Embrace the unknown.

Victory at the top of Mailbox Peak - deemed the hardest day hike in Washington, climbed 4,500+ ft in only 2.5 miles right into the clouds (aka the steepest shit ever) & then slid the whole way back down the mountain.

Following you is like having constant access to a travelogue. The places you visit are amazing, and I just wanted to thank you for the pictures that you post of these sights. :-)

Thanks!! Glad you are enjoying all my weekend adventures but don’t forget to get out & have some of your own :)
