Today marks day one of my 4 day juice (until dinner, then have a veggies based meal) fast / detox - decided now is as good a time as any considering I am about to go on a backpacking trip & being all cleansed beforehand sounds good to me!
Supplements to be taken throughout = cayenne & garlic, oil of oregano, pau d’arco & grapefruit seed extract. (all highly recommended by my naturopath) 2x of each 3x times a day.
NO COFFEE is honestly always the hardest part of any cleanse for me BUT i am going to power through!
Today I had: 2x kale-spinach-celery-cucumber-lemon-ginger, 1x tomato-cilantro-onion-garlic-raddish-raddish root-carrot, 1x almond milk-cinnamon-nutmeg, 1x beet-orange-carrot, 100+ oz of water, herbal tea with lemon.

JUST FINISHED ‘One Plus One’ by Jojo Moyes - This particular book was a very quick read & would fall more towards the bottom of my list of favorite books by this author, but it was still enjoyable.

  • WORKING ON living in multiple places at once. there is a certian art form to floating around. upside being no rent, no bordem because i am here then there then back here then over there & spending ample time with everyone i love. downside being ‘where are my favorite jeans, oh wait they are in my storage locker or oh wait they are at my partnets or oh wait they are at my boyfriends, ect, nights without my kittycat & metro bus commutes (which really aren’t all that bad with a good book in hand).
  • REGRETTING nothing :] feels good when all your big decisions turn out to be the right ones for you, no regrets = the best feeling.

JUST FINISHED ‘Not That Kind Of Girl’ by Lena Dunham.

i liked it BUT i didn’t love it - i read it pretty quickly & might have even skipped over a few parts out of bordem BUT i also re-read some parts that i enjoyed. overall would reccomend for anyone who likes Lena but maybe not to anyone that has never heard of her.

Go to the effort. Invest the time. Write the letter. Make the apology. Take the trip. Purchase the gift. Do it. The seized opportunity renders joy. The neglected brings regret.

JUST FINISHED ‘Where We Belong’ by Emily Giffin & I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed it. I had never read a book by this author but might check out some of her others. Would recommend for anyone looking for some extra light & charming but not too fluffy reading material.

BOOK 40/60 FOR 2014 READING GOAL.

Lazy Sunday means Dim Sum - Chinese broccoli, honey walnut prawns, pork meatballs & BBQ pork buns.

So many carbs = so much happiness.

You don’t know anyone at the party, so you don’t want to go. You don’t like cottage cheese, so you haven’t eaten it in years. This is your choice, of course, but don’t kid yourself: it’s also the flinch. Your personality is not set in stone. You may think a morning coffee is the most enjoyable thing in the world, but it’s really just a habit. Thirty days without it, and you would be fine. You think you have a soul mate, but in fact you could have had any number of spouses. You would have evolved differently, but been just as happy.

You can change what you want about yourself at any time. You see yourself as someone who can’t write or play an instrument, who gives in to temptation or makes bad decisions, but that’s really not you. It’s not ingrained. It’s not your personality. Your personality is something else, something deeper than just preferences, and these details on the surface, you can change anytime you like.

JUST FINISHED READING ‘The Last Anniversary’ by Liane Moriarty - it was ‘meh’, entertaining enough to finish the book in a few days but was never really excited to pick it back up once I had set it down. It did however have A FEW nice lines that stuck with me.

My parents house is like a real life Folgers commercial where instead of an alarm it’s the smell of fresh coffee that wakes me up.

Had the weirdest (BEST) lunch today consisting of green tea, miso soup & a seaweed cucumber salad.
